French Canal Cruises

France, a country well known for its preserved beauty, offers cruises along its canals to show off the beauty to the outside world. Each cruise along the canal is like a trip taken back in time. Along the various canals, sightseers can visit wineries, vineyards and old-country vegetable gardens.
  1. Clair de Lune

    • Accommodating up to 18 passengers, the Clair de Lune has been traveling more than 20 years along the Canal du Midi in southern France. Room enough for six guests, each cabin has air conditioning and central heating as will as private bathroom facilities.

The world can be seen floating by as onlookers look out the large picture windows located in the salon and cabins. Meals are prepared by a professionally trained chef. Representing the best of the region, the wines are selected by a qualified sommelier. Experienced tour guides will accompany groups as they explore the surroundings.

The barge is 100 feet long and over 16 1/2 feet wide. Its cabins offer either a queen or twin size bed. The exterior of the boat has a sundeck where sun lovers can lounge in comfortable reclining chairs while soaking up the sun. Passengers can also enjoy relaxing in the Jacuzzi while laying under the sun. The entire barge is available for group rental.
