Look for a cruise catering exclusively to singles. In regular cruises, you will have to pay double if you book a single bed in a double room (the standard size for cabins in most cruises). Single cruises, on the other hand, are structured to allow for people traveling alone, as well as those traveling with a friend.
Book online. The choices are more diverse and you’re more likely to find a discount or special booking offer, especially in the off season. Companies that cater exclusively to singles usually offer better prices and more options.
Choose the right theme. There’s more to a singles cruise than just the fact that the people going are traveling solo. Rather than settling for a “standard” cruise, choose a theme cruise (fitness, Hawaii or adventure cruises are especially popular).
Make sure the cruise has an age limit. If you’re booking a singles cruise that caters to anybody, you’re less likely to meet a suitable match in your age range. Most companies offer some sort of lower/upper limit for cruises, such as 18-30 or 25-40. Cruises geared to seniors who are single are a category in their own as well.
Decide whether you want a cruise-only trip or one that includes land time. Cruises where you mostly live and sleep onboard offer more opportunities to meet others, while those that offer nights on land can be a good choice if you’re traveling with a group and want to be able to explore with your own friends.
