Instructions

    • 1

Check the Six Flags website or call your closest park to check on the dates and times of the Fright Fest celebration. Usually it takes place every weekend in October, and often on the first weekend in November as well, depending on how close it is to Halloween.

    • 2

Wear a costume to get into the spirit of things. If you didn't bring a costume with you, you can always purchase something at one of the gift shops or souvenir carts located throughout the park to help you feel dressed for the occasion.

    • 3

Come in early afternoon and be prepared to leave before it gets dark if you plan to bring small children with you. If you are an adults-only party, you may prefer ti show up after the sun goes down, as this is when things start to get spooky and the real monsters (as opposed to Halloween-themed Looney Tunes characters) start to come out.

    • 4

Be sure to take in some of the special Halloween shows. Who knows, you may even get to do the "Time Warp" up on stage, right along with Dracula, Frankenstein and the Mummy.

    • 5

Take your kids trick-or-treating in the designated area. Kids may also get to enjoy such activities as a haunted hayride through a pumpkin patch.

    • 6

Visit the haunted house or haunted maze with the older members of the party. These PG-13 attractions sometimes come with an additional fee on top of your park admission, so be sure to check into this before you go, or else be prepared to fork out a little extra cash.
