Buy a single day ticket or season pass ahead of time. Avoid the long ticket lines and print out your admission passes before your trip to the park. A season pass is a good idea if you plan to visit the park more than once.
Get a Six Flags Great America park map on Main Street when you arrive. This helps you navigate the park and find all the attractions that you want to visit.
Plan to eat casual food at Six Flags. Eateries throughout the park serve basic theme park food: hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza. There are also carts with desserts such as ice cream and pretzels.
Ride the thrill rides early in the day. Mid-day lines for the most popular Great America roller coasters are very long. Head over to Raging Bull, Superman--Ultimate Flight and Batman--The Ride as soon as you arrive at the park.
Purchase your park pictures online. Six Flags Great America has a photo system that allows you to get photos of your trip even after you leave the park. Simply log onto their website and put in the photo card ID number to choose your prints.
