How to Make of a Trip to Six Flags New England

Formally Riverside Park, Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts, has grown and expanded to become a travel destination for many visitors in New England. Because of the amount of visitors and the size of the park, it may be hard to get through everything in one day, but if you plan it just right, you can make the most out of your trip to Six Flags New England.

Instructions

    • 1

Think about when you plan to go to Six Flags New England. Holidays and weekends are almost always the most crowded times, and the park also features concerts throughout the summer that can become very crowded.

    • 2

Go in mid-summer to take advantage of the water park, but if you are not interested in the water park, then you can visit the park during October for their Fright Fest, because all of the rides are still open, and a lot more is added with the whole Halloween element.

    • 3

When you arrive at the park, you should immediately get a Speed Pass. They can be costly, but this will greatly expand the amount of rides you go on, and you can avoid waiting in a long line, especially on a hot day.

    • 4

If you are going to the park as soon as it opens, head toward some of the bigger rides, like the Superman and Batman roller coasters. They will have smaller lines right when the park opens, and you can ride them two to three times in the same length of time for one ride later in the day.

    • 5

To help save money and time, pack a lunch. You do not want to spend your day waiting and then eating overpriced foods like french fries and pizza, so pack a lunch full of stuff and get a locker in the park. This way you can concentrate on getting to more of the park then filling your stomach.

    • 6

Get a park map when you arrive, or read one beforehand. If you know the park well, you can save time and get to rides quicker and more efficiently. Go on the rides in the order of their layout in the park so you can save energy by walking less.

Six Flags New England offers many free shows throughout the summer, so try to take advantage of some of them. They include a mix of magic and acrobats, but they are all entertaining and in some cases worth the price of admission alone.
