How do you drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas without driving the I 15?

* Route:

1. Head south on I-5 from Los Angeles

2. Take Exit 80 for CA-18 W toward Palmdale.

3. Turn right onto CA-18 W

4. Follow CA-18 W into Palmdale

5. Take CA-138 E from Sierra Hwy E for approximately 54 miles

6. Merge onto CA-58 E for approximately 80 miles in Mojave

7. Merge onto US-395 N for approximately 141 miles towards Ridgecrest/Bishop/Mammoth Lakes.

8. Continue onto S Las Vegas Blvd (Las Vegas) for approximately 80 miles.
