Snow in Malaysia: Never Recorded Due to Tropical Climate

Snow has never been officially recorded in Malaysia.

The country lies near the equator (1°–7° N latitude) with a tropical rainforest climate: consistently high temperatures (23–33°C / 73–91°F), high humidity, and abundant rainfall year-round. These conditions make snow formation impossible at any elevation in Malaysia—even on its highest peak, Mount Kinabalu (4,095 m / 13,435 ft), where temperatures rarely drop below freezing.

Frost is extremely rare and only occurs at very high elevations under exceptional conditions. Malaysia's climate supports lush rainforests and biodiversity, not wintry precipitation.
