Travel Time from Japan to Antarctica

No direct flights or regular passenger routes exist. Standard itinerary:

1. Fly Tokyo → Ushuaia, Argentina (southernmost city; ~30–40 hrs with connections via Santiago, Buenos Aires, or US hubs).
2. Board expedition ship Ushuaia → Antarctic Peninsula: 2–3 days across Drake Passage (weather-dependent).

Total: ~5–7 days one-way. Most visit via organized cruises (10–21 days round-trip). Season: November–March.
