How many different types of penguins are there in the Antarctica and Arctic?

There are no penguins in the Arctic. Penguins are native to the Southern Hemisphere and are mostly found in Antarctica, subantarctic islands, and South Africa. There are 18 well-defined penguin species:

4. Snares Penguin

5. Fiordland Penguin

6. Erect-Crested Penguin

7. Royal Penguin

Spheniscus Demersus – African or Black-Footed Penguin

Eudyptula Minor – Little Blue Penguin

The total number of species found in the Antarctica is 8 whereas none of the types are present in the Arctic region.
