In Maine do you have to take hunter safety course get your hunting permit?
In Maine, individuals born after January 1, 2003 must complete a Hunter Safety Course in order to obtain their first hunting license. This requirement applies to both residents and non-residents of Maine. The course covers firearm safety, hunting ethics, and conservation practices. It can be taken in-person or online.
