Visit this section to request a copy of a will recorded in Kings County, NY. The request must be made in person and you will need to provide identifying information, such as the decedent’s name, date of death, and the name of the attorney or law firm that handled the probate. A fee will be charged for each copy of the will requested.
- Request a Certificate of Probate
Visit this section to request a certificate of probate for a will that was probated in Kings County, NY. These types of requests can also be made by mail, but the request form must include the following:
- The name of the decedent
- Date of decedent’s death
- Name and address of the person requesting the certification
- A $10 fee, made out to the Kings County Surrogate’s Court.
