Which Was Bombed More Heavily: Cambodia or Laos?

Laos received far more ordnance. Between 1964 and 1973, the US dropped over two million tons of bombs on Laos—making it the most heavily bombed country per capita in history. The campaign destroyed villages, hospitals, and temples, killing an estimated 50,000 people.

Cambodia was also heavily bombed (1969–1975), with over half a million tons dropped, causing an estimated 100,000 deaths, but the total tonnage was less than one-quarter of that dropped on Laos.
