Is Ghana a low income country?

As of 2022 World Bank classification, Ghana is a lower-middle-income country.

Ghana's economy has been growing steadily over the past decade, averaging 6% annual growth. However, the country still faces a number of challenges, including poverty (25%), unemployment, energy shortages, and corruption.

Ghana's government has implemented a number of policies to improve the country's economic situation, including increasing investments in infrastructure and education, and diversifying the economy by promoting the development of the agricultural and manufacturing sectors. As of 2021, the country's GDP growth rate is estimated at 4.8%.

The country has also benefited from its participation in the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), which provides duty-free access to the United States market for certain African products.

Ghana's economy is expected to continue to grow in the coming years, but the country will need to address a number of challenges in order to achieve sustained and inclusive economic growth.
