What is Ghana Decline?

Ghana Decline was coined in the early 1980s by economists William Easterly, Robert Levine and Sarwat Charan to refer to the decline of the sub-Saharan African economy as a whole, in relation to the economic growth during the same time period of the East Asian Tigers, as well as the overall slow growth of real incomes in sub-Saharan Africa for two decades.
