How to Check Your Name on the Voters' List in Lesotho

To verify your registration on the voters' roll in Lesotho (the Mountain Kingdom), follow these steps:

1. Confirm Eligibility: You must be a citizen, 18+ years old by election day, and hold a valid National Identity Card (NIC).
2. Check Publication Dates: The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) publishes the voters' list. Monitor the IEC website or official government channels for announcements.
3. Access the List: The IEC provides access via online portals, designated electoral offices, local chiefs' offices, and physical copies at community centers.
4. Search Carefully: Look for your name, checking spelling variations, middle names, and any aliases used previously.
5. Verify Details: Ensure your NIC number, address, and polling station are correct.
6. Request Corrections: If errors exist, contact the IEC immediately with supporting documents (e.g., NIC copy) to rectify the record.
7. Stay Updated: Re-check the list periodically before the election for any revisions.

Following these steps ensures you can exercise your right to vote.
