Senegal has no mountains. The country's highest point is Mont Assirik (also called Nepen Diakha), a low hill in the southeast near the Guinea border, at 164 m (538 ft) above sea level. The terrain is mostly low, rolling plains; the Fouta Djallon highlands in neighboring Guinea create the only significant elevation nearby.
