Is somali the same country as somaliland?

Somalia and Somaliland are not the same country. Somalia is an internationally recognised country, while Somaliland is a self-declared state that is not recognised by any other country. Somaliland is located in the northwest of Somalia and declared its independence in 1991, following the collapse of the Somali central government. While Somaliland has its own government, currency, and military, it is not recognised by the international community and is considered part of Somalia.
