Where are rheas found?
Rheas are found in South America. They mainly inhabit open areas such as grasslands, savannas, and deserts, and avoid densely forested regions. The main species of rhea include the Common Rhea (Rhea americana), which is found in countries like Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay, and the Lesser Rhea (Rhea pennata), which is native to northeastern Brazil. These flightless birds are well-adapted to their environments and have unique characteristics such as long legs for running, small wings, and distinctive feathered bodies.
