Why is the population of Africa so evenly distributed?
The population of Africa is not evenly distributed. In fact, it is one of the most unevenly distributed populations in the world, with high concentrations of people in certain areas and vast stretches of land with very few inhabitants. Some of the most densely populated areas of Africa include the Nile River Delta in Egypt, the Lake Victoria basin, and West Africa, while some of the most sparsely populated areas include the Sahara Desert, the Kalahari Desert, and the Namib Desert. There are several factors that contribute to this uneven distribution of population, including climate, water resources, land fertility, and economic development.
