Who owns western Sahara?

Western Sahara is a disputed territory, claimed by both Morocco and the Polisario Front (an independence movement representing the Sahrawi people). Most of the territory is controlled by Morocco, while the Polisario Front controls a region called the "Free Zone" in the eastern part of the country. Western Sahara is recognized as a non-self-governing territory by the United Nations.
