The Congo river basin and river system cover an area of about 3.7 million km2 and include all (or part of) seven countries—Cameroon, The Central African Republic, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Zambia, Angola, Burundi, and Tanzania.
