Definition of small scale business in Ghana?
The definition of a small scale business in Ghana, according to the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), are enterprises whose total cost of machinery (excluding land cost and working capital) or initial investment of plant does not exceed $120,000 (or its cedi equivalent).
Alternatively, an enterprise may also employ between fifteen (15) and less than sixty (60) workers full-time and whose asset base (after one year of commencement of production or operation) in terms of machinery, and equipment including building/premises should not exceed $120,000 or its cedi equivalent.
