Japan did not invade Thailand. Instead, the two nations formed a military alliance during World War II.

Thailand allowed Japanese troops passage for the Malaya/Burma campaigns and declared war on the Allies, but retained nominal sovereignty. The relationship was cooperative, not conquest.
