Where did Malaysia get its name from?

Malaysia derives its name from the Sanskrit term "Malaiur", signifying "abode of the Malays". However, there are various accounts of the origin of the name, with some suggesting that it was coined during the Srivijayan era, while others suggest it dates back to the 7th century.
