What covers much of eastern China?

The vast majority of eastern China is covered by the Yangtze River Delta Plain. This alluvial plain is located in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and is one of the most densely populated regions of China. The Yangtze River Delta Plain is known for its fertile soil, and is a major agricultural region. The region is also home to a number of large cities, including Shanghai, Nanjing, and Hangzhou.
