Monsoons primarily affect the regions surrounding the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean, including South and Southeast Asia as well as parts of Australia. Northwestern Asia, which includes countries such as Russia, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan, is not directly influenced by monsoons.
