What happend to the Philippines when Emilio Aguinaldo went hong kong?

Emilio Aguinaldo did not go to Hong Kong. Instead, he went to Singapore after the Malolos Congress. There, he decided to reorganize the Philippine Army so that they would be more prepared to fight the Americans if necessary.
