What did the Singaporeans do during Japanese occupation?

The Singaporeans who resisted or fought the Japanese during the occupation can be broadly categorised into three groups:

1. Anti-Japanese forces

Those that organised clandestine anti-Japanese groups that

undertook espionage and attacks against the Japanese.

1. Guerrilla resistance

Mainly comprising the remnants of defeated allied troops left

behind with Chinese civilians and soldiers; they undertook

guerrilla attacks against isolated pockets of Japanese troops in remote locations

3. Malay Regiment Forces that surrendered fought a guerilla warfare against the Japanese occupation troops in Malaya after escaping from prisoner camps
