Budget Tours in Tibet

Budget tours of Tibet are generally shorter tours that focus on a particular area, often Lhasa. Four-day tours of Lhasa are common, and available from many tour operators. Longer tours include a number of eight-day tours, such as overland tours. Many tour operators also offer six-day tours and trekking or biking tours that include several monasteries. Be sure to check on what is included in each tour. Some budget tours include breakfast, others include no food at all. Most budget tours start in Tibet, but some may include air or rail fare from Beijing. When planning a short tour of Tibet, consider that a day may be necessary for basic acclimatization to the altitude. Some people may need several days. It is recommended that you arrive a few days before your short tour.
