Tours of Vietnam & Thailand

The landscapes of Vietnam and Thailand are rich in cultural heritage and natural resources, diverse wildlife, historical monuments and ancient temples. There are numerous travel agencies that offer tours of Vietnam and Thailand, many of which feature trips to hidden ruins and figures carved from rock, such as the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long in Vietnam and the Buddha statue, Phra Buddha Kodom, at Wat Phra Yai in Thailand.

    • The Circle of Asia agency, located in Bangkok, has several tours to Vietnam and Thailand. Tours to Vietnam are two to eight days in duration and cover most of Vietnam's rural and urban areas. Some stops on the Vietnam tours include the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi, the Cham Museum in Danang, the Reunification Palace, the Thien Hau Pagoda and the War Remnants Museum in Hi Chi Minh City (otherwise known as Saigon). Tours to Thailand include cruises on the Kwai River and the Chao Phraya River, tours of the Royal Barges Museum Bangkok, the Wat Arun temple (the Temple of Dawn) and the Temple of Emerald Buddha in Bangkok, the Bang Pa-in Palace (Summer Palace) in Ayuthaya Province and Pak Klong Talard (the Flower Market) in Nonthaburi Province. Thailand tours are half days or one to four days in duration.

    • The Travel Indo China agency's main headquarters is in Sydney, Australia, but it has offices in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The agency offers numerous tours to Vietnam, and seven tours to Thailand. Tours of Vietnam are seven to 27 days in length and include bicycle tours, culinary tours, pedicab tours of Hanoi's old quarter, boat ventures on the Halong Bay, and visits to Vietnam's most notorious monuments, shrines and temples. Travel Indo China also features small-group tours and tours designed for the family in mind. Tours to Thailand are seven to 14 days and include stops at the Sukhothai Historical Park, cooking class on the edge of the Chao Phraya River, visits to the Wat Suan Dok temple, the Warorot Markets and the Lisu Lodge in Chiang Mai. Other destinations on the Thailand tours include excursions to Bangkok, Kanchanaburi and the ancient cities of Sukhothai and Ayutthaya.

    Asian Venture Tours

    • Asian Venture Tours operates out of Bangkok, and features one tour to Vietnam called the "Jewels Of The Red River", and one tour to Thailand called the "Pai Exploration". The Vietnam tour is nine days and includes trips to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, The Temple of Literature in Hanoi, The History Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, Halong Bay in the Quang Ninh province, Mai Cgau in the Hoa Binh province, Hoa Lu and Nam Dinh in the Red River Delta region. The Thailand tour is six days and highlights areas around the city of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, the Pai Valley in Northwest Thailand, visits to a Karen hill tribe village near Ban Nam Rin and the northern province of Mae Hong Son.
