Which is more mountainous northen or southern Asia?

The Himalayas, the world's highest mountain range, is located in southern Asia. It stretches for over 2,400 kilometers (1,500 miles) and has 14 peaks that are over 8,000 meters (26,000 feet) tall. The Karakoram, another major mountain range, is also located in southern Asia. It is home to K2, the world's second highest peak.

In contrast, northern Asia is relatively flat. The West Siberian Plain, the largest plain in the world, covers much of northern Asia. The Ural Mountains, which separate Europe from Asia, are the only major mountain range in northern Asia.
