The 1931 China floods, also known as the 1931 Yangtze River floods or the Central China floods, were a series of floods along the Yangtze River and the Huai River in the Republic of China that killed an estimated 2 to 3.7 million people. The floods were caused by heavy rainfall resulting from the movement of a stalled upper-level trough and two tropical cyclones over Central China in July and August 1931.
