Asia Is Mostly in the Northern Hemisphere

The vast majority of Asia lies north of the equator. Only a few Southeast Asian nations and territories straddle or lie south of it:

• Indonesia (mostly Southern Hemisphere)
• Timor-Leste
• Singapore (just north, but nearby islands cross)
• Brunei
• Malaysia (southern tip of peninsula and parts of Borneo)
• Philippines (southernmost islands like Tawi-Tawi)

Over 90% of Asia's landmass and population are in the Northern Hemisphere, driving its dominant seasonal patterns.
