Kuala Lumpur is both the capital and largest city of southeast Asian nation, Malaysia.       Visit the National Art Gallery (Balai Seni Lukis Negara). This vast gallery has a collection of paintings and sculptures from Malaysian artists as well as artists from all around the world. There are over 2,500 art pieces located in the National Art Gallery. The Gallery has permanent exhibitions as well as new and temporary exhibitions coming in all of the time. The Gallery also has a lot of beautiful "batik" (colorful dyed textiles) on display.

      Take a ride on Eye On Malaysia. Eye On Malaysia is a massive Ferris wheel, similar in style to the London Eye. Standing at a height of 60 meters, the Ferris wheel is an ideal way to get a beautiful panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas. Many of the city's landmarks can be seen from the wheel.

      Go to Aquariuam KLCC (Aquaria). This mid-city aquarium has an impressive array of marine life, with over 5,000 animals of 150 species. This aquarium provides visitors with both education and entertainment. There are many exhibits here, including a "Living Reef" exhibit and a "Jewels of the Jungle" exhibit.

      Shop at Suria KLCC. Suria KLCC is a massive shopping complex located right by Aquaria. The shopping center has many large international department stores such as Japanese department store Isetan and British retailer Marks and Spencer. With over six floors of shops, Suria KLCC also has a movie theater, concert hall, science discovery center and art gallery. There is no shortage of entertainment, shopping and dining options at Suria KLCC.

      Check out the National Library (Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia). Malaysia's most well-known library, the National Library, not only has an impressive selection of books but an impressive exterior as well. The roofs of the library are designed to resemble traditional Malaysian headpieces called "tengkolok." The library is modern in that there are large interactive media centers for children and adults, as well as vast research rooms.
