The event includes numerous activities, including softball and volleyball tournaments and a fireman's skills test. The event also features 5K race, which draws about 100 participants each year. A city-wide garage sale also coincides with the event. Around thirty carnival rides and games were featured in 2010, and the festival offers food stands and an annual pork chop dinner. Children can enjoy a variety of special games and activities just for them and also view fire engines and medical evacuation helicopters up close at a community display. A parade and fireworks round out the festivities.

The St. Michael-Albertville Women of Today group hosts two craft fairs each year. The group is a chapter of the Minnesota Women of Today and the United States Women of Today and is a community service and social organization. The shows are called the Spring and Fall Craft Boutiques and usually occur in March and November. The one-day event is held at the St. Michael-Albertville Middle School in Albertville. Numerous vendors are on-site for the event selling their goods and offering demonstrations of their skills.

Located in nearby St. Michael, the annual St. Michael Daze & Knights Festival is approximately 2 miles from Albertville (around 5 minutes by automobile). Organized by residents of the town, the event typically occurs on a weekend in August, running for three days from Friday through Sunday. Events are held throughout the community in public parks, local churches and the St. Michael Senior Center. For adults, the event features a beer tent with live music. Other activities include an in-line skate half marathon, bingo, a scavenger hunt, softball tournament and water battles. The festivities also include a carnival, an area garage sale, business expo, classic car show, craft fair, farmer's market and petting zoo.
