Are there any forests in Japan?

Japan is a country with an abundance of forests. Approximately two thirds of the country's land area is covered by forests, making Japan one of the most forested countries in the world. These forests are home to a wide variety of plant and animal life, including many endangered species. The forests of Japan provide many important ecosystem services, including regulation of water resources, soil conservation, and carbon sequestration. They also play an important role in the cultural and spiritual life of the Japanese people.
