Is it true that Asians are shorter and smaller than average?

The average heights of people in East Asian countries are as follows:

- China: 5'7"(men), 5'2" (women)

- Japan: 5'8" (men), 5'2"(women)

- South Korea: 5'9" (men), 5'3" (women)

- North Korea: 5'6" (men), 5'1" (women)

There is nothing "shorter" or "smaller" about Asian people.
