Malaysia experiences two monsoon seasons: the southwest monsoon and the northeast monsoon. The southwest monsoon occurs from May to September, bringing heavy rainfall to the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, as well as parts of Sarawak and Sabah. The northeast monsoon occurs from November to March, affecting the west coast of Sarawak and Sabah. During these monsoon seasons, the eastern coasts of Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak will experience drier weather while Sabah tends to be dry throughout both seasons.
