Is mount Everest in east Asia?

Mount Everest is not in East Asia. It is located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas. The Himalayas are a mountain range that separates the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. Mount Everest is located in the Khumbu region of Nepal, close to the border with Tibet.
