Where is the capital building in Indonesia?
The capital building of Indonesia is called the Merdeka Palace (Indonesian: Istana Merdeka). It is located at Merdeka Square in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. The palace was originally built during the Dutch colonial era as the official residence of the Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies. After Indonesia gained independence in 1945, the building was renamed Merdeka Palace and became the official presidential palace. Today, the palace still serves as the official residence and main working place of the President of Indonesia and is where state events, foreign dignitary visits, and other national events are held.
