Where in Kazakhstan do most people live?

Most people in Kazakhstan live in the northern part of the country, where the climate is more temperate and suitable for agriculture. The largest cities in Kazakhstan, Astana and Almaty, are both located in the north. The southern part of the country is mostly desert and is sparsely populated.
