Who was the 1st greek comedy writer?

The first Greek comedy writer was Aristophanes, who lived in Athens in the 5th century BC. He wrote forty plays, of which eleven survive complete, and is the only playwright of Old Comedy whose work has survived. Aristophanes' plays are characterized by their political and social satire, as well as their bawdy humor.
