Is david livingstone the first person to discover Victoria falls?

David Livingstone was not the first person to discover Victoria Falls.

The falls were first recorded in writing in 1855 by the Scottish missionary David Livingstone when he visited and named the falls in honour of Queen Victoria. There is archaeological evidence that the falls have been known for thousands of years to previous inhabitants. There are records that the Falls were once known as "Mosi-oa-Tunya" by the Kololo or Lozi people (meaning The Smoke That Thunders) because of the smoke-like spray that rises at the base of the falls.
