Summary offences (less serious offences)

* South Australia: Maximum penalty of $20,000 and/or 6 months in prison

* Western Australia: Maximum penalty of $50,000 and/or 1 year in prison

* Northern Territory: Maximum penalty of $25,000 and/or 6 months in prison

* Tasmania: Maximum penalty of $28,125 and/or 12 months in prison

Indictable offences (more serious offences)

* New South Wales: Maximum penalty of $220,000 and/or 5 years in prison

* Victoria: Maximum penalty of $92,460 and/or 2 years in prison

* Queensland: Maximum penalty of $235,100 and/or 3 years in prison

* South Australia: Maximum penalty of $50,000 and/or 4 years in prison

* Western Australia: Maximum penalty of $50,000 and/or 5 years in prison
