Located in the Mosman suburb of Sydney, the Taronga Zoo offers a special Roar and Snore package where birthday party guests can have a sleepover at the zoo (the only opportunity to camp overnight with a view of the Sydney Harbour) and wake up among the animals. Guests sleep in safari tents with single and double beds (showers are also available). Parties begin in the early evening with zoo host chaperons and refreshments. The zoo then provides a buffet dinner and 1.5 hour night safari. In the morning, guests receive breakfast and then participate in two animal greeting experiences, which vary depending on the animals' sleeping habits and time of year. Guests may then remain in the zoo for the rest of the day exploring. Party attendees must be age five or older. Roar and Snore is available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a minimum of 34 people on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Australian Museum offers a variety of children's activities, including an entire skeleton gallery, atrium and dinosaur gallery. The museum is open every day of the year except Christmas, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parents interested in hosting a birthday party at the museum may rent out The Terrace, with a balcony presenting views of Cook and Philip Park, St. Mary's Cathedral and Woolloomooloo. The Skeleton Gallery (over 100 specimens), Albert Chapman Mineral Collection and Dinosaur Gallery (10 full-size specimens) may also be rented. Although these rooms are more suited toward adult activities, the museum also welcomes children with free admission for children under the age of 5 and discounted admission for children up to age 15 (family discounts are also available). Parents can plan a birthday outing during one of the museum's special events such as Scientist for a Day or Family Day. There are no minimums; party guests may enjoy food and drink for sale in the museum's cafe.
