Lakes: The largest lake in Nova Scotia is Bras d'Or Lake, located on Cape Breton Island and covering an area of 1,093 square kilometers(422 square miles).

Rivers: The major rivers in Nova Scotia are the Shubenacadie River, the Mersey River, and the St. Croix River.

Islands: Nova Scotia consists of the mainland and its associated offshore islands, the largest of which are Cape Breton Island and Lunenburg County's many coastal islands. The province also has an island designated Brier Island which lies to the south-west of Digby County.
