The St-Albert Cheese Curd Festival

The Festival de la Curd takes place each year in Eastern Ontario near the St-Albert Cheese factory. Thousands attend to experience five days of live shows, community events and other entertainment---even eating free cheese curds during the Big Top shows.

    • The festival is located in Eastern Ontario, Canada.

      The Curd Festival (Festival de la Curd) is held on the grounds of the St-Albert Cheeseworks. The factory is located at 150 St-Paul Street (150, rue St-Paul) in St-Albert, Ontario, Canada.

    Activities

    • The Festival's rodeo is a "qualification to the Canada Cup."

      The Curd Festival is host to numerous activities. These include live music and comedy shows, a Farmer's Market, a Giant Maze, a Rodeo and community events, such as a motorcycle rally, giant bingo, beach volleyball and a wine & cheese tasting. There is also a family area with activities and games just for children.

    Cost

    • Several activities require a ticket purchase.

      Although admission to the Festival itself is free, attendees must purchase tickets to several of the events, including the live shows under the tent, the rodeo and the Giant Maze. However, Festival organizers note that the community activities are "all in aid of community organizations like the CHEO (the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario)."
