Who discovered North Saskatchewan?

There is no explorer or historical figure credited with the discovery of the North Saskatchewan River. The river has been known to and utilized by indigenous communities long before European exploration of the region. Its existence and course were gradually documented and mapped as early explorers and fur traders ventured into the area in the 17th and 18th centuries.
