What are national colors?

National colors are the colors used to represent a nation within international sporting competitions and international political events, and sometimes domestically. Countries usually choose colors from their national flag; most European nations adopt two or three colors from their flags as their secondary, tertiary and quaternary national colors, while most other sovereign Asian and African states employ one (in most cases, it is the most vibrant color on the flag), two or multiple colors of national significance.
