The water and rocky shoals of Lac Seul are home to numerous species of fish and other aquatic wildlife. However, fishermen prize two species in particular from Lac Seul for their tasty flesh and, at times, trophy size. Walleye and northern pike are the most sought after fish from this lake, but perch and musky are also found in abundance.
The lake is surrounded by fishing lodges. Some are merely cabins, while others are large resort areas with activities for the whole family to enjoy. There are even houseboats for rent for the fisherman who doesn't want to waste time traveling between a lodge and a fishing spot.
While winter fishing is available, this is not the best time to go due to the low temperatures and large amount of snow and ice. Late spring, summer and early fall will supply the best time for fishing as the weather is pleasant that time of year.
